Darwinism Disproved
Artistic types that we are, we were reading through Variety, the famed entertainment industry magazine, specifically the April 16 issue. And in a column titled “Stars & Gripes Forever,” author William Triplett reports on complaints received to the FCC after the last SuperBowl back in early February.
You remember – the one with pint-sized musical genius Prince sexing up the half-time show, and the (supposedly either homophobic or homoerotic, depending on your POV) Snickers commercial that caused so much fuss. Whatever, we thought it was funny.
Anyway, here is one of those complaints, reprinted word-for-word:
“It was obscene to show Prince, a HOMOSEXUAL person through a sheet… I am very offended and I would prefer not to have showed it to my 4 children who love football. One of them has hoped to be a quarterback and now he will turn out gay. I am actually considering to check him for HIV. Thanks CBS for turning my son GAY.”
Jaw… dropped.
Lost for words.
There are just so many things wrong with that letter, we can’t even count them all. It’s astonishing.
We mostly just feel sorry for those four kids who are growing up with such an irredeemable moron for a parent. Imagine living in that house, with that kind of stupidity polluting everything you do.
In an even bigger pity, the genes that cause this level of idiocy have already been passed on to no less than four children. Truly, we sometimes wonder if there is any hope left for this country at all when people like this are allowed to procreate.
